Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Doodlecharms

Hello All !!
I think this is one of my favorites so far. I used the Doodlecharms cartridge with the border feature. I cut the stockings at 2.5. The pattern paper came from the Christmas Matstack by DCWV. I'm starting to feel my creative juices flowing!

Craft Space - My Humble Beginnings

Hello All !! I have been looking at alot of blogs and seeing some very FABULOUS craft spaces. I must say I have enjoyed them all!! However, we ALL have to start somewhere! Here is a photo of my very humble craft space. In our home we have an extra room which my husband and I share (I guess we each have two walls). Mine are is used for my sewing/embroidery and my newest growing obsession - papercrafting.

Well...here's what we have. A cricut (the original), a cuttlebug (not shown), a paper cutter, 2 cricut cartridges (no, that is not a typo, I said 2 cricut cartridges but I'm hope to double that next week *birthday hint*), a couple of boxes for paper punches and stamps, and a storage box for papers and scraps.

Are you still not impressed? Well, perhaps you didn't see the little glass jar full of buttons!

Well, there you have it! Let's get krafting!!!!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #32

Here's a cute little card that I made for the Birthday Sundaes Challenge. The designer pattern paper is Flora and Fauna by K & Company and the sentiment is from birdscards.com.

This is just in time for my niece's birthday. I'm sure she'll love it!

Go Fish Challenge #3

Here's a card made for the Go Fish Challenge #3. This was a color challenge. I used this cute orange and yellow polkadot scrap ribbon and the adorable little pumpkin from my Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge. Still learning but it's a fun journey!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #93

Well, as new as I am to card making (2 weeks to be exact), I thought it would be fun to do a challenge. I made this card for the "Think Pink" Challenge at Cardz TV with Mary. I know my beginner card cant hold a candle to some of the beautiful cards I've seen on her blog but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I'll give this one to a dear friend who lost a loved one to breast cancer.

Doodlecharms 01 - Dragonfly Card

Here's a quick tutorial on how I made my very first card with my new Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. It was very simple to make and it turned out really cute!

The supplies you will need are:

1 piece of red cardstock - 4.25 x 11.0

2 peices of pattern paper - 2.0 x 5.25 and 4.0 x 5.25 (mine came from DCWV Grade School Stack)

1 piece if yellow cardstock - 2.5 x 2.5

Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge - Dragonfly cut at 2 inches

pop dots and adhesive

First you will fold your red cardstock in half, creating a card base that is 4.25 x 5.5. Fold the to half of the card back at the center, creating an S-fold card.

Then you will adhere the pattern paper and the yellow cardstock as shown below.

Cut out the Dragonfly image and layer at 2 inches using your Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge. Attach the Dragonfly to the yellow cardstock piece using pop dots.

Now you will add a white piece of cardstock to the center of the inside of your card for a sentiment. This piece should be 2.25 x 2.25.

Voila! There you have it.

I also put a sentiment on the yellow cardstock - "A Happy Hello"

Enjoy!
