Christmas Treats

Hello Again!!!

I haven't posted in a while but believe me...I've been visiting everyone! I started having Carpal Tunnel/Cubital Tunnel issues right around Thanksgiving and am supposed to be wearing my arm in a brace most of the day.

Classroom Christmas parties are coming up and I had to do something for my son's Kindergarten Class.

I thought this was a cute idea. Reindeer noses!!! There's one for Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen and of course...Rudolph.
I wish I could say this idea was ALL mine but I saw it at A Personal Touch and decided to try it. It's easy enough that I don't have to aggravate my hand/arm too much and since I don't want to disappoint the kiddies it's TREAT BAGS TODAY...IBUPROFEN TOMORROW!!!

4 Down...24 to go!

CTD #169

Hey Everyone!!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanskgiving and I trust everyone has already switched gears to Christmas! I had a good time with family and friends. In bringing this holiday weekend to a close I decided to do a card for the Color Throwdown Challenge #169.

Here's what I came up with. Very Basic. I used my Forever Young Cricut cartridge to cut the flowers and the sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels.
Happy Krafting!

Birthday Wishes

...and again!Well, this is my 3rd and final post for today(I promise). I just made this card for the Birthday Sundaes Challenge .

The challenge was to make a card using your old and neglected stash. Well...since I've only been doing this a month I really don't have anything very neglected. I pretty much use everything I have and desperately need more! But...I didnt want to miss a Birthday Sundaes Challenge!

So...about two weeks ago I was is Michaels and looking through the dollar ribbon and saw this cute ribbon in pink and orange. I used the pink in a previous Birthday Sundaes challenge but never got around to using the orange. I had planned on using it for some sort of Thanksgiving card. Well...obviously that never happened. So here is my "old and neglected" orange ribbon :)

Thanks Again

Hello Again! Here's my second Thank You Card for today. This one is for the Just Some Lines Challenge. This was a fun challenge. Tic Tac Toe! You could use any three elements across, down, or diagonal. How cute is that!
I decided to go diagonally from lower left to upper right - die cut, digi, glitter(I guess glitter paper counts)
Happy Krafting!

Good Morning All !Well...I have the day off and decided to make two Thank You cards before I get the day started with my three boys. I am, after all, so thankful for them!

This card is for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #87. Create a card or project with the words Thanks or Thank You on it.

Happy Thanksgiving and...

Believe !!

Hi Everyone!! I just wanted to share a quick card. I was making a card for the Birthday Sundaes Challenge and my 5 year old son came to me with a challenge of his own!! He presented me with this very well thought out piece of paper...
and said, "Mom, I have a challenge for you. These are all of the colors you can use." So this is strictly for my son, Jonathan. My biggest fan!!
Happy Krafting!!

Another Birthday Card!

Happy Saturday!!! I LOVE the Birthday Sundaes Challenges!! This time the challenge was to use a tree on your birthday card. I pulled out my Doodlecharms cartridge and decided on this cute palm tree. I thought the flowered pattern paper added a little Hawaii to the card. I like it! Hope you do too!!

Amazing Discovery

Hello Everyone!! No Card...I just made an awesome discovery!!!

I have had some struggles trying to find the right medium to color my digi stamps. I tried colored pencils, copics (I only bought a few), and sharpies (which I like). Today I discovered something I actually like...Bic Mark-it Markers. They are relatively cheap (36 marker set for about 20 bucks!) and the colors are really sharp. This is my first try but so far I'm liking them.

Just wanted to share!!

Help Me!

Hello All !! Well...I've been spending quite a bit of time the last few days looking at youtube videos on digi stamps. I see lots of really cute cards made using digi stamps and Copic markers. Well, since I'm a beginner and have NO idea how to use Copics I dont want to make such a huge investment just yet. Instead I saw a few videos using Prisma Colored pencils and a blending stump. The videos I saw had great results. This, my first attempt, kinda looks like my five year old colored it. I'm not a happy camper. This, by the way, is not a digi stamp. It is a Clings stamp that I had in my stash. I'll keep practicing and if ANYONE has any suggestions...PLEASE HELP!

Hello All !! I have been looking at alot of blogs and seeing some very FABULOUS craft spaces. I must say I have enjoyed them all!! However, we ALL have to start somewhere! Cricut Cardz Challenge #93

Well, as new as I am to card making (2 weeks to be exact), I thought it would be fun to do a challenge. I made this card for the "Think Pink" Challenge at Cardz TV with Mary. I know my beginner card cant hold a candle to some of the beautiful cards I've seen on her blog but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I'll give this one to a dear friend who lost a loved one to breast cancer.

Doodlecharms 01 - Dragonfly Card

Here's a quick tutorial on how I made my very first card with my new Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. It was very simple to make and it turned out really cute!

The supplies you will need are:

1 piece of red cardstock - 4.25 x 11.0

2 peices of pattern paper - 2.0 x 5.25 and 4.0 x 5.25 (mine came from DCWV Grade School Stack)

1 piece if yellow cardstock - 2.5 x 2.5

Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge - Dragonfly cut at 2 inches

pop dots and adhesive

First you will fold your red cardstock in half, creating a card base that is 4.25 x 5.5. Fold the to half of the card back at the center, creating an S-fold card.

Then you will adhere the pattern paper and the yellow cardstock as shown below.

Cut out the Dragonfly image and layer at 2 inches using your Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge. Attach the Dragonfly to the yellow cardstock piece using pop dots.

Now you will add a white piece of cardstock to the center of the inside of your card for a sentiment. This piece should be 2.25 x 2.25.

Voila! There you have it.

I also put a sentiment on the yellow cardstock - "A Happy Hello"
